Detailed Itinerary
Arrival in Nairobi & Giraffe Centre
Your journey begins in Nairobi, where you’ll stay at Hemingway’s Nairobi, a beautiful hotel surrounded by peaceful gardens. In the afternoon, visit the Giraffe Centre to take close-up photos of Rothschild giraffes as they eat from your hands. It’s the perfect start to your adventure.
Nairobi to Masai Mara
After breakfast, travel to Masai Mara National Reserve (about 6 hours). Check into Angama Mara, a stunning lodge with sweeping views of the savannah. Spend the afternoon on a game drive to capture photos of wildebeest, zebras, and predators like lions and cheetahs. As the sun sets, the golden light makes the Mara look magical—perfect for landscape shots.
Full Day in Masai Mara
Today is all about exploring the beauty of Masai Mara. Start with an early morning game drive to catch animals in action during sunrise. You’ll see elephants, lions, and maybe even a hunt. Later, visit a Maasai village to photograph their colorful clothes, dances, and traditional homes. End the day with another game drive before relaxing at Angama Mara.
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, head to Lake Nakuru National Park (5 hours). You’ll stay at The Cliff, a luxury tented camp with amazing views of the lake. In the afternoon, take photos of thousands of flamingos, rhinos, and pelicans by the water. As the sun sets, the reflections on the lake create the perfect scene for your camera.
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha (1.5 hours). Check into Chui Lodge, a quiet and cozy lodge surrounded by wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you’ll photograph hippos and birds up close. Later, take a guided walk on Crescent Island, where you can capture giraffes, zebras, and antelopes roaming freely.
Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
In the morning, drive to Amboseli National Park (6 hours). On arrival, check into Tawi Lodge, a beautiful lodge with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Spend the afternoon on a game drive, capturing elephants, giraffes, and zebras against the backdrop of the mountain. Amboseli’s landscapes during sunset are perfect for photos.
Amboseli to Nairobi
Start your morning with a sunrise game drive in Amboseli. The early light makes Mount Kilimanjaro look magical, and you’ll capture some of your best shots of elephants and other wildlife. After breakfast at Tawi Lodge, drive back to Nairobi (4 hours). Your camera will be full of incredible memories from this trip.
